Functional Responsibilities
- Execute financial strategy, policies and procedures of Mega Trade ensuring conformance to the established corporate financial strategy.
- Post and process journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue. - Prepare accounts of revenues and expenses to ensure that all the receipts and payments are accurately accounted for in the books in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all business transactions are recorded.
- Analyse financial information and prepare balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Reconcile cash and bank to ensure adequate controls over banking arrangements and the receipt and disbursement of cash and cheques; resolve variances.
- Responsible for the proper maintenance of accounting records and adequate accounting controls.
- Ensure proper closure of accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in line with approved financial policies and procedures
- Coordinate with management and staff to prepare budgets.
- Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation.
- Prepare corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintain and record fixed assets.
- Interact with External/Internal Auditors to ensure all statements, reports, records and files are up to date and accessible.

**- **Coordinate with Senior accountants for finalising the method of accounting and its statutory implications.

- Review and verify bills received for accuracy and completeness; seek further approvals when required.

- Collate and consolidate inputs and provide clarification/ support to corporate; escalate relevant issues to section Finance and Accounts, if required.
