Ctl Machine Operator

The CTL (Cut-to-Length) Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the CTL machine used to process and cut cold-rolled grain-oriented (CRGO) steel sheets or transformer laminations to specified lengths. This role involves ensuring the accurate cutting of CRGO sheets or lamination stacks, critical in transformer manufacturing, while maintaining high levels of quality, efficiency, and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Operate the CTL machine to cut CRGO sheets, transformer laminations, or metal strips to precise lengths as per production requirements.
- Set up the CTL machine, including loading material, adjusting settings (e.g., cutting length, speed, and alignment), and ensuring proper calibration.
- Monitor the cutting process to ensure accurate cuts and optimal machine performance.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic adjustments to ensure the machine operates smoothly.
- **Material Handling**:

- Ensure proper handling and loading of CRGO steel coils or transformer lamination material onto the CTL machine.
- Ensure that materials are properly aligned and positioned before and after the cutting process to prevent damage and ensure consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid any potential issues with the material or machine.
- **Quality Control**:

- Perform regular inspections of the cut material to ensure it meets the required specifications, including dimensions, surface quality, and overall consistency.
- Ensure the quality of the cut lamination sheets or CRGO materials by checking for defects such as burrs, deformation, or incorrect cuts.
- Adjust machine settings to correct any quality issues and minimize scrap or rework.
- **Machine Maintenance and Care**:

- Regularly inspect and clean the CTL machine, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, replacing worn parts, and checking the alignment of components.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance department for further inspection and repair.
- Ensure that safety mechanisms on the machine are operational.
- **Production Support and Coordination**:

- Coordinate with production and planning teams to meet scheduled production targets.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of cutting tasks to support downstream production processes (e.g., transformer assembly, lamination stacking).
- Maintain an efficient workflow by monitoring machine performance and adjusting as needed to prevent delays.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Keep accurate records of machine performance, material usage, and production output.
- Report any issues with machine performance, material defects, or deviations from the quality standards to the supervisor or manager.
- Ensure that all production data is documented accurately for traceability.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols while operating the CTL machine to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that work areas are free of hazards.
- Adhere to safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures when performing maintenance or adjustments.
- Comply with company policies and local regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High School Diploma or ITI
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 years of experience in operating cutting machines, preferably in the transformer or CRGO steel manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience with CTL machines or similar cutting equipment is a significant advantage.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Knowledge of CTL machine operation, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CRGO steel materials and transformer lamination processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and cutting specifications

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
