**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes (e.g., wok-based stir-fries, dim sum, soups, noodles).
- Support the CDP in managing the Chinese section during preparation and service.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented according to restaurant/hotel standards.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and portion control.
- Supervise and guide junior staff (Commis) in the section.
- Monitor stock levels, assist in requisitions, and minimize food wastage.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Participate in menu planning and contribute new ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
- Work effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1-2 years in Chinese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking methods, including wok cooking, steaming, and deep frying.
- Familiarity with Asian ingredients, sauces, and presentation techniques.
- Excellent knife skills and a strong sense of taste and plating.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
