Introduction:

- Analysing various Model types submitted to MRM and conducting end-to-end independent review and assessment of Models Data and Implementation Frameworks
- Engaging with stakeholders and Model ownership areas to review key gaps and clearly explain the rationale for the challenges.
- Understanding the technical aspects of the work done by Model Risk professionals - this can be either IT/technology related, data science or quantitative finance related.
- Proposing solutions that lie at the intersection of the above three.

Main duties include:

- Assessment of Data Analyses which may comprise,
- Validation of Data Quality (DQ) reports which inspect fundamental aspects of data such as completeness, accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
- Replication of end-to-end model data flow for newly developed High Materiality models. This includes an independent verification of Developer codes and matching the final data/results that are reported in the model document.
- Liasoning with stakeholders for specific Model Risk programs and projects
- Managing deliverables (decks, reports, minutes, status updates) for specific change management fora, including material design, forum scope and provision of material to senior management presentations
- Engaging with Technology and Infrastructure teams and able to act as a bridge between stakeholders and IT teams tasked with delivery.

What will you be doing?
- Independent ownership of the validation project and liasioning with validators and Model Owners.
- Technology management, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and with technology teams to formulate solutions.
- Research and evaluate software and technology options for each project.
- Drive and support data driven decision making.

What we’re looking for:

- Data analytics - Ability to review the data process followed and pin point the misses.
- Automation - Ability to analyse, design and automate processes
- Project Management - Ability to run projects independently and has a grasp of PM concepts and best practices.
- Experience of or exposure to either Technology or Data Science: Ability to understand, discuss, design and implement solutions. Should be able to write code when necessary.
- Communication - Strong communication skills.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Knowledge of / experience in Python, SAS, R, SQL, VBA
- Experience with Project Management tools (JIRA, MS Project) and the MS Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio and SharePoint skills)
- Current knowledge and understanding of model development and implementation covering primarily credit and market risk will be advantageous.
