With a strong foothold in global R&D network for future product development, the Trucks and Buses Propulsion Systems & Software department at DTICI works largely on the Design, Development of Powertrain Systems and end-to-end solutions for Mechatronics components. The department has key resources for SW development and validation of the software for the - Conventional powertrain and Electric Drive for the entire trucks and buses portfolio. Also, the team contributes to cutting edge technology like “Predictive and Prescriptive Solutions” and “Data analysis” topics for conventional engines & electric drive trucks & buses.

The major competency areas for Mechatronics areas of Trucks and Buses Powertrain & E-Drive Engineering department are as below
- Zero Emission Technology - E-Drive & Fuel Cell SW Development & Digital Validation
- Conventional Propulsion Technology - Drivetrain, Engine, After Treatment System and Transmission SW Development & Digital Validation
- Predictive Powertrain functions & Vehicle Data analysis
- Functional safety, Cyber Security and Diagnostics
- Advanced simulation for Powertrain Systems validation and calibration

Leader responsible for powertrain transmission and Thermal component verifications for Daimler Trucks vehicles ( MiL/SiL/HiL) and component global responsibility for series management
- Developing & validating diagnostics for flashing ECU Software & parameterization of (e)Powertrain ECUs
- Collaboration with ECU Owners on Release Planning, deliverables and coordination as Verification responsible with all the stakeholders including suppliers.
- Alignment on Release Management, Ensure agreed SW Product development releases/deliverables are in line with Daimler release planning & product development process.
- Responsible for competency building and promoting innovation in the areas of for Powertrain Systems / Transmission Controls with clear targets
- Line-Manager responsible for dealing People ( 20+ Engineers) & career development of the team
- Dealing with day-to-day operation of group & ensure Knowledge build-up of team members, performance monitoring and feedback.
- Act as a first point of escalation for all project deliverables and business-related queries
- As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & Implement project strategy in line with organization.
- Strategy Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed.
- Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions
