Material Estimator

**Role : Material Estimator**

**Reporting Hierarchy**: This role will report into Regional Manager, Planning & Procurement.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Review project plans, specifications, and GFC drawings to develop detailed material takeoffs for retail fit-out projects.

2. Research and analyze material prices to develop accurate cost estimates

3. Identify potential vendors and suppliers for materials, and negotiate pricing and contracts.

4. Work with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and manage project budgets

5. Monitor actual material usage and costs against estimates, and adjust estimates as needed

6. Ensure that materials meet the required quality standards, and work with vendors to resolve any quality issues

7. Develop and maintain accurate records of materials used and costs incurred

8. Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and continuously improve estimating and procurement processes.

**Requirement**:
1. Education: a. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, & architectural Engineering Preferred)

2. Work Experience: a. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material estimation in the construction industry (retail industry experience preferred)

3. Knowledge: a. Electrical Material quantity estimation (Such as Wires/Cables, Conduits, MCB/MCCB, Wiring Devices, Distribution Box), On-Site experience of handling MEP work will be an advantage

b. Civil Material quantity estimation (Such as Tiles/Stone, Gypsum Board, Cement, Structural Steel)

c. HVAC low side material quantity estimation

d. Plumbing Material Quantity Estimation (Such as CPVC Systems, UPVC System)

e. Fire & Safety (Such as Fire Extinguishers, Sprinkler Systems)

f. Carpentry Work Material Estimation(Such as MDF, Laminate, Plywood)
