Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations.
- Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability.
- This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Installation & Configuration**:Perform installation, configuration, and tuning of MySQL databases. Ensure optimal performance and availability.
- **High Availability Architecture**:Design, implement, and manage high availability solutions to ensure database reliability and mínimal downtime.
- **Disaster Recovery**:Develop, test, and implement disaster recovery strategies and plans to safeguard data integrity and availability.
- **Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)**:Utilize OCI for database services and management, including but not limited to provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
- **MySQL HeatWave**:Manage and optimize MySQL Heat Wave environments, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- **Change Management**:Oversee and execute changes to database configurations, software updates, and other modifications following best practices and company policies.
- **Release Management**:Coordinate and manage database releases, including planning, testing, and deployment to ensure smooth transitions and mínimal disruptions.
- **Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning**:Diagnose and resolve complex database issues and performance problems. Implement best practices for performance tuning and optimization.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:Maintain accurate documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes. Provide regular reports on database performance, issues, and resolutions.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:Minimum of 6 years of experience as a MySQL DBA with substantial exposure to Oracle MySQL environments.
- **Technical Skills**:Proven expertise in MySQL database installation, configuration, high availability architecture, and disaster recovery. Proficient with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and MySQL HeatWave.
- **Change & Release Management**:Strong experience in managing change and release processes in a database environment.
- **Troubleshooting**:Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- **Education**:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL DBA, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
