Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise pre-operative and post-operative & intensive care of all patients and take all decision related to patient management.
- Perform appropriate surgical procedures (Routine and Emergency) for patients with assistance of AC and assist Executive Director in performing complex surgical procedures as per the privileges granted by the organization.
- Administrative control of all doctors/nurses/paramedical staff working under their supervision and co-ordinating with the management for constant improvement in the delivery of services.
- Attending OPDs at Fortis and peripheral OPDs and give consultations as and when required for indoor patients admitted under other consultants on call.
- Delivering lecturers and organizing camps in training areas of the Hospital and apprise practitioners and public about the quality of services rendered by Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
- Planning strategies for future growth, developing recent techniques acquiring new technologies, equipments and instrument.
- Treat, Perform procedures & surgeries as per the clinical privileges authorized to the clinician by the clinical privileging committee.
- To mark a site for procedure, before operating.
- Duty roster scheduling of junior doctors in the dept and uniform workloads distribution within their team as and when required.
- Allocating the most appropriate junior doctor to attend Consultant for ward rounds.
- Visit patients and arrange patient visits everyday regularly by deputing doctors in each shift
- Manage absences within the team, to ensure minimum number are maintained
- Involve team members to attend the training programmes and CMEs as and when required.
- Authorize and organize discharge according to hospitals rules and policies.
- Develop and implement Continuous quality improvement processes in patient care delivery in the specialty.
- Contribute to activities of professional associations
- To undertake or supervise research in respective department in an organized manner where appropriate.

Any other task assigned by the HOD / Management from time to time.

MBBS + MS - General Surgery + MCH - CTVS with 2-4 years of experience
