**_JOB_**_ _**SUMMARY**:

- Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and
implementations.
- Oversee the operations of the production and staging environments
databases.
- Design, implement, and monitor disaster recovery plans as it pertains to
the production database environment.
- Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data
and database issues.
- Give design recommendations for database functions that meet business
operating standards while improving the efficiency of business processes.
- Train and mentor junior personnel on best practices.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

**_QUALI_**FICATION**:

- Any IT Graduate

**_ROLES&_

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Good knowledge of MYSQL architecture.
- Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
- Understanding MYSQL Backup & Recovery along with Open source Tools.
- Best practices on managing database access and user control.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Must have good knowledge of MYSQL database up-gradation.
- Knowledge on MYSQL replication Master-Master, Single master multi-slave
and troubleshooting.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.Be available for on-call support as
needed.
- Should have knowledge of Master slave replication.
- Replication, DR Drill ( Switch over, Switch back).
- DB Upgradation.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL/ Mongo.
- Good knowledge of Scripting (Shell, python etc).
- Provide Training to the juniors.
- Should have knowledge of AWS RDS.
- Check with them about the versions they have worked on (MySQl 5.7 & 8
version must to have).
