**Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Fabrication**: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings to create tools, dies, and molds.
- **Machinery Operation**: Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- **Precision Work**: Shape metal parts to exact specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
- **Assembly and Inspection**: Assemble finished tools and dies and inspect completed products for flaws and precision.
- **Maintenance and Repair**: Modify and repair tools, dies, and molds as needed to ensure functionality and reliability.
- **Quality Control**: Test completed tools and dies for functionality, quality, and accuracy.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure design feasibility and troubleshoot any issues.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience as a tool and die maker or relevant role.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in using both manual and CNC machining tools; familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- **Education**: Certificate or diploma in tool and die making, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong precision and quality focus.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design or production issues.

**Preferred Skills**:

- **Drawing Reading**: Expertise in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
- **Manual Dexterity**: Excellent hand-eye coordination for working with small parts and tools.
- **Communication**: Good verbal and written communication for reporting and coordination.

**Work Environment**:

- Typically works in machine shops or manufacturing facilities.
- Requires wearing safety gear and adherence to safety protocols.

This role is vital in manufacturing environments where custom, precision parts are necessary for production, ensuring that machinery runs smoothly and efficiently.
