Key Responsibilities:

- **Setting up VMC machines**:This includes interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and setting up workpieces and fixtures.
- **Operating VMC machines**:This involves loading materials, running the machine according to instructions, and monitoring the machining process.
- **Ensuring quality**:This includes inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications, and making adjustments as needed.
- **Maintaining machines**:This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the machines are in good working order.
- **Following safety procedures**:This includes adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- **Documenting production data**:This includes recording production information, machine settings, and any issues encountered.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- **Technical knowledge**: Understanding of CNC machining principles, VMC machine operation, and blueprint reading.
- **Mechanical aptitude**: Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and tools.
- **Attention to detail**: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.
- **Problem-solving skills**: Ability to identify and resolve issues with machine operation or production.
- **Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively with other team members, including programmers, engineers, and other operators.
- **Experience**: Prior experience as a VMC or CNC operator is often required.
- **Safety awareness**: Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
