**Database Administrator**

**Main Responsibilities**

Database administration - job monitoring, data corrections, database creation, optimization, performance tuning, backup/restore, disaster recovery, support for both internal and external clients.

The DBA will be expected to work across multiple clients, supporting internal databases and teams as well as external clients. Experience in multi-tasking and maintaining development, test and production systems is critical to the success of the DBA.

**Must Have Skills**
- 5+ years experience as a database administrator
- Experience in MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB
- Extensive experience of Database installation, configuration and patching;
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL;
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts;
- Demonstrated expertise in database logical and physical design and implementation;
- Expertise with Unix and Windows shell scripting;
- Expertise in operational and incident management/resolution;
- Experience of day-to-day operations management including communicating effectively and frequently with clients, being responsive and available to client concerns, issues, feedback and questions;
- Ability to present information (e.g. requirements documents, diagrams) to various audiences in a manner that is clear and concise
- Providing on-call and off-hours support, rotating with other DBAs;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer service focus;
- Creation and maintenance of documentation and standards.

**Desired Skills**
- OCP Certification
- Nagios experience
- OLTP or DataWarehouse development

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹483,835.37 - ₹1,667,004.42 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Rotational shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bengaluru - 560076, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- total work: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Oracle or SQL Server certification? (preferred)
