Role.

The Lead Data Governance is responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies and policies to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of organizational data. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping data management practices, defining standards, and ensuring compliance with data-related regulations. The Lead Data Governance collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish a data governance framework and culture within the organization.

You must possess very strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to think conceptually and pragmatically; capable of communicating with senior executives and becoming a trusted advisor on Kanerika services and solutions. You possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm to embrace new challenges. You can multitask and prioritize (good time management skills), willing to display and learn. You should be able to work independently with less or no supervision. You should be process-oriented, have a methodical approach and demonstrate a quality-first approach.

**What you will do**:** **Key Responsibilities includes:
**1.** **Data Governance Strategy and Policy Development**:
Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective use of data.

Define data quality standards, data ownership, and stewardship guidelines.

**2.** **Data Governance Framework**:
Establish a data governance framework that includes data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, and data classification.

Implement data governance tools and technologies to support data management efforts.

**3.** **Data Quality and Integrity**:
Monitor and maintain data quality through data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation processes.

Implement data quality metrics and KPIs to measure and improve data quality.

4. **Data Security and Compliance**:
Ensure data security and privacy compliance by collaborating with the cybersecurity and legal teams.

Stay updated on data-related regulations and industry best practices.

**5.** **Data Stewardship and Ownership**:
Define and assign data stewards and data owners for various data assets.
