**Job brief**:
At the FSS Platform Engineering team we are looking for experienced **User Interaction (UI) Designers** who can understand the business requirements and translate them into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. You should have clear understanding of business goals, user behavior and be proficient in wide variety of skills ranging from psychology to design and technology.

The goal is to provide a framework and develop the required technology components which will accelerate the development of software products.

**A day in the role will look like**:

- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers.
- Design and delivery wireframes, user stories and mockups optimized for range of devices.
- Take a user centric design approach and rapidly test and iterate your design.
- Implement the latest design innovations to ensure that the product is in accordance with the cutting-edge technology.
- Create a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product.
- Optimizes UI designs and tests for intuitiveness and user-centeredness.
- Proactively contribute component design and documentation to a rapidly growing design system.
- Collaborate and coach developers, testers to design & deliver high-quality software. Closely work with a highly skilled engineering team to guide, help implement and deliver software components/solutions on time.
- Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

**The Skills that you will possess**:

- Expertise in standard design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision.
- Working knowledge of using Basic HTML, CSS3 and Java Script.
- Strong knowledge of responsive and interactive designs.
- Experience utilizing, developing, and managing UI Kits/Design systems.
- Ability to communicate design process, ideas and solution clearly and effectively to teams, stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Portfolio must exhibit understanding of user experience design principles and knowledge of UI best practices and usability.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

**The required technical and professional expertise**:

- Overall, 5+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
- Possess a portfolio of design projects.
- Knowledge of Wireframe tools.
- Experience working on agile development teams (ideally using Scrum or Kanban)

**Educational Qualification that you will have**:
Preferably BE/ME/BTech/MCA/MTech/MSc in computer science or related engineering field.
