**Position Title**: Jacquard Editor

**Position Overview**:
The Jacquard Editor is responsible for creating and managing digital or manual Jacquard designs, ensuring that they meet the desired aesthetic and technical specifications for woven fabrics. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical knowledge, and software proficiency to produce high-quality têxtile designs that align with production requirements and trends.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design Creation & Development**:

- Develop Jacquard weave designs, patterns, and textures based on client specifications, trends, or design briefs.
- Use Jacquard design software (e.g., Texcelle, or similar) to create digital patterns and simulate fabrics.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure designs are aligned with overall collection themes and product lines.
- **Technical Knowledge & Analysis**:

- Understand the technical aspects of Jacquard weaving, including yarn types, thread counts, and weave structures.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible for production, adjusting patterns and structures where necessary to optimize for fabric quality and production processes.
- Analyze color schemes, texture effects, and weave structures to create innovative and commercially viable designs.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work with the production and technical teams to ensure designs are achievable within production timelines and cost constraints.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including designers, technical staff, and clients, to ensure design goals and constraints are met.
- **Software & Tools Proficiency**:

- Utilize Jacquard-specific design software to create, modify, and perfect designs.
- Stay updated on new software tools, technologies, and trends within the têxtile and Jacquard design industry.
- **Trend Research & Innovation**:

- Keep up with emerging fashion trends, têxtile innovations, and Jacquard design techniques.
- Research and experiment with new patterns, weaving techniques, and technologies to push creative boundaries..
- **Documentation & Record Keeping**:

- Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, files, and revisions.
- Keep accurate records of design parameters, color palettes, and yarn types used in each project.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Jacquard design software (e.g., Pointcarre, Texcelle, or similar tools).
- Solid understanding of color theory, fabric composition, and technical drawing.
- Experience in creating and managing Jacquard designs for fashion, upholstery, or other têxtile industries.
- Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in têxtile design and production.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

**TIMING: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (Sunday's week off)**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
