**Role Purpose**

The role is responsible to carry out skilled mechanical/electrical maintenance, servicing & repairing ground support equipment (motorized and non-motorized, light & heavy-duty vehicles) at the workshop and on site. Furthermore, to assist in improving reliability of equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance programs as per departmental SOP.

**What you will be doing**
- Ensures highest standard of services while carrying out scheduled maintenance or servicing of aircraft ground support equipment, light and heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform normal schedule servicing or receive job card for unscheduled maintenance, fault/defect diagnosis, troubleshoot, dismantling, repair, overhaul of major/minor assemblies, testing to rated specifications and performance levels including/for
- Simulate on-site fault diagnoses, disassembling engines, removing components and perform post-servicing engine test
- All electrical systems within the company's fleet of vehicles and aircraft GSE in addition to standard vehicle D.C. electrical systems.
- On all “Freon Gas” refrigeration-cooling systems, large semi-hermetic and open type refrigeration compressors, electrical controls shutdown systems as associated with specialized air-conditioning equipment.
- Carries out charging of vehicle batteries following all safety precautions and verify capacity of motor/generator on an electrical test bench
- Maintains safekeeping of tool kit allocated, obtains replacement for worn out or damaged tools and obtain & sign for necessary parts from stores required for maintenance; determine parts & materials required to be replaced, repaired, rebuilt or overhauled and initiate work request form in MAXIMO.

**What we are looking for**
- Higher secondary education and formal training or apprenticeship in the mechanical trade
- Minimum 4 years' experience in GSE field with engine/transmission /hydraulic overhauls
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a mechanic in heavy and light equipment
- Effective Communication skills, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety-conscious physically and mentally fit
- Knowledge of oral and written English and local language as indicated.
- Local driving license will be an added advantage.
