Job Title: Language Transcript (Bengali/Malayalam/Marathi/Telugu/Tamil)

Job Summary:
The Language Transcript will be responsible for transcribing audio or video recordings from Bengali/Malayalam/Marathi/Telugu/Tamil languages into written form. This may involve listening to audio or video recordings of interviews, meetings, lectures, or other types of communication, and accurately transcribing them in the same language.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Listen to audio or video recordings in Bengali/Malayalam/Marathi/Telugu/Tamil and transcribe them into written form using a computer.

Ensure that the transcription accurately reflects the content of the audio or video recording, including nuances of language, dialect, and accent.

Follow established guidelines and procedures for transcription, including formatting and style preferences.

Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure accuracy and clarity.

Meet deadlines for completing transcriptions.

Communicate with colleagues and supervisors as needed to clarify instructions or address questions or concerns.

Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
Native-level fluency in Bengali/Malayalam/Marathi/Telugu/Tamil language.

Excellent listening, comprehension, and transcription skills in the relevant language.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with computer-based transcription software and tools.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.

Understanding of and respect for cultural and linguistic differences.

Prior experience in transcription is preferred, but not required.

Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional education or training in language, linguistics, or related fields is a plus.
