**Job Description : Kids Picture Book Illustrator**

**Responsibilities**:

- To create original illustrations that align with the story's theme and target audience.
- Develop character designs, backgrounds, and layouts that are visually appealing and appropriate for children's picture books.
- Create a variety of illustrations, including cover art, full-page spreads, and spot illustrations, maintaining a consistent style throughout the book.
- Incorporate feedback and make revisions to artwork as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of illustrations according to the project timeline and specifications.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an illustrator, preferably in children's picture books or similar projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing skills in character design, storytelling, and the use of color and composition.
- Proficiency in traditional and/or digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of what engages and captivates young readers.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- A degree or formal training in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the children's publishing industry and current trends in children's book illustration.
