PCB Layout Designer

**PCB Designer**

As a Layout Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering high-quality layouts for test and evaluation boards. Your responsibilities will include footprint creation, board layout, Gerber file generation and interaction with the hardware build manager. Our senior team members will provide guidance and training throughout your journey.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage high-speed layouts in accordance with guidelines set by design engineers.
- Support quality footprint creation activities for assigned projects.
- Collaborate closely with onsemi’s internal design team and other PCB layout team members, incorporating review feedback into layouts.
- Generate output files in Gerber 274X format and perform CAM analysis before releasing files for PCB fabrication.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in high-speed PCB layout.
- Expertise in Cadence Allegro 17 series tools and basic knowledge of Cadence OrCAD Capture tools.
- Experience with mixed-signal, high-speed digital designs, and high-speed serial interfaces.
- Proficient in creating footprints according to IPC standards.
- Ability to handle PCB design and layout issues independently.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and assembly rules (DFM and DFA).
- Proficient in CAM analysis using the CAM350 tool.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly understand guidelines and feedback.
- Hardworking and able to collaborate effectively with other PCB layout team members.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external design engineers.
