**_Job Description _**:

- **_Monitor and manage Production/Test LPARs. _**:

- **_Provide first-level break-fix support for mainframe infrastructure and components. _**:

- **_Perform operational functions such as IPLs, SAD, and scheduled changes. _**:

- **_Support HMC and hardware operations managed by customers or third parties. _**:

- **_Monitor batch cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) and report statistics. _**:

- **_Ensure timely completion of batch cycles and investigate long-running or looping jobs. _**:

- **_Participate in weekend activities and proactively identify and correct errors. _**:

- **_Manage hardware and software issues, escalating to support teams as needed. _**:

- **_Operate and manage scheduling tools like OPC, CA-7, and Control-M. _**:

- **_Monitor online systems and escalate or resolve issues as required. _**

**_Primary Skills _**:

- **_Proficiency in scheduling tools: OPC, CA-7, Control-M _**:

- **_Strong understanding of IPL processes, system startup/shutdown routines _**:

- **_Experience with HMC and Console Operations _**:

- **_Hands-on knowledge of CA-OPS/MVS _**:

- **_Familiarity with operator and display commands _**:

- **_Experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management _**

**_Secondary Skills _**:

- **_Experience with SSM control for startup/shutdown process migration _**:

- **_Ability to work independently during weekend and off-hour activities _**:

- **_Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills _**:

- **_Effective communication and documentation abilities _**
