Agronomist

Job Description:
Decarbonic is a sustainability-focused company that aims to combat climate change through various carbon sequestration projects. We work with different sectors, including agriculture, to implement sustainable practices and reduce their carbon footprint. We are currently looking for Agronomist Interns/Consultants who will help us in our projects related to agroforestry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct field studies and assessments to determine soil characteristics, crop growth patterns, and water usage in agroforestry projects.
- Develop and implement sustainable farming practices to improve soil health, crop
yield, and carbon sequestration in agroforestry projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with farmers and other stakeholders involved in the agroforestry projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the agroforestry projects in terms of
sustainability, crop yield, and carbon sequestration.
- Provide technical assistance to farmers and other stakeholders to ensure the
successful implementation of sustainable farming practices.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure that the agroforestry projects align with the company's sustainability goals.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or a related field.
- Prior experience in agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
- Knowledge of agroforestry, soil health, and crop growth patterns.
- Familiarity with carbon sequestration projects and related methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of tea plantation study will be an added advantage.
