**Job Description: PPIC Officer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry)**
**Position Summary**: The PPIC (Production Planning and Inventory Control) Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes and effective inventory management within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role involves coordinating production schedules, managing raw materials, ensuring on-time product delivery, and maintaining inventory levels to meet both production needs and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Production Planning**:
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecast, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize downtime.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Track inventory turnover, expiry dates, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GDP).
- Conduct regular inventory audits and update inventory records in the system.
- **Demand Forecasting and Material Requirement Planning (MRP)**:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand product demand and trends.
- Analyze historical data to forecast future production needs and inventory levels.
- Generate Material Requirement Plans (MRP) to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials.
- **Supply Chain Coordination**:
- Liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure a steady flow of materials and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Coordinate logistics and distribution of finished products to meet customer delivery requirements.
- **Production Reporting and Performance Monitoring**:
- Prepare and analyze production and inventory reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify any production delays, stock imbalances, or process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure all production activities align with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date records for audits and regulatory inspections.
- **Problem Solving**:
- Proactively identify issues in production or inventory flow and work with relevant teams to resolve them promptly.
- Address any production delays, material shortages, or overstocking situations.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 Year+ experience in production planning, inventory control, or supply chain management in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
