This is a Legal Counsel role will be reporting to Regional General Counsel, IMEA in Process Automation Business Area based in Peenay,Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible for support to PA businesses in the assigned cluster of countries.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop close working relationships with ABB’s internal customers including commercial business teams, finance and supply chain functions.
- Draft, review, negotiate contracts including frame agreements, purchasing agreement, consortium agreements as well as bank guarantees.
- Review tender documents, policies and other legal documents from vendors, customers and other third parties ensuring compliance with policies.
- Support business units in managing contractual claims and Advise on the resolution of disputes or litigation through external advisors when necessary.
- Participate in promote activities to ensure employees conduct business in compliance with the directives and the local laws.
- Implement the compliance/integrity Group program and Provide training to employees on contractual and integrity matters.
- Ensure that all external legal advice is provided in a cost-effective way.

**Your background**:

- Law degree with certificate in legal practice or hold subsequent legal/professional qualifications.
- 10+ years’ working experience in commercial law in a major corporation or in a leading law firm
- Expérience in working on large, complex, project contracts like mining, pulp & paper, oil/ gas
- Overseas experience is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and being able to work effectively with business clients and in a multicultural environment.
- Professional level English and Practical mindset, self-motivated, proactive skills are must.
