**What's this role about?**

As a Data Governance Architect, you will be responsible for identifying data governance process issues, recommending next steps and rigor for data governance including process set up as well as leveraging technologies like Collibra, Alation or Atacama. You would contribute in pre-sales cycle when needed to validated efforts and timelines as well as proactively take technical propositions for setting up data governance processes to customers for cross-selling / up selling. You would work very closely with Delivery managers and leads to ensure smooth project execution and a high CSAT score.

Here's how you'll contribute:
Data Governance Architect at Zensar participates in end to end cycle from opportunity identification to its closure and takes up complete ownerships of project execution and provide valuable expertise in the project. You will do this by:

- Responding to client RFI, RFP documents with proper solution design including cost estimates
- Understanding customer requirements and create technical proposition
- Contributing to SoWs, technical project roadmaps, etc required for successful execution of projects leveraging Technical Scoping & Solutioning approach
- Managing and owning all aspects of technical development and delivery
- Understanding requirements and writing technical documents
- Ensuring code review and developing best practises
- Planning end to end technical scope of the project and customer engagement area including planning sprint and delivery
- Estimating effort, identifying risk and providing technical support whenever needed
- Demonstrating the ability to multitask and re prioritizing responsibility based on dynamic requirements
- Leading and mentoring teams as needed

**Skills required to contribute**:
18+ Years of experience in executing Data & Analytics projects with minimum 6+ years in a data governance including consulting and implementation of data governance modules like Collibra, Alation, Atacama
- Extensive experience in data warehousing, data quality management and master data management across various business functions.
- 8-10 years’ experience in leading various data analytics engagements both on-premise as well as using cloud native services like AZURE, AWS, GCP etc.
- 8+ years of Enterprise Data Management experience, minimum of 5 years in a Data Governance Expert or Lead role in a formal Data Governance program and/or a Senior Business / Data Analyst role.
- Experience in developing a Data Governance operating model where none exists today or assessing and improving on an existing Data Governance operating model.
- Experience working with business / technical development team / data stewards to clearly document Data Governance and metadata requirements.
- Should understand data privacy and security ( data authorization access policies enablement), governing data flow lineage in pipes, system to system
- Enable Data catalog Search/Discovery, Metadata hub
- Experience with Data Governance tools such as Collibra and Experience with Data Catalog tools such as Informatica EDC or Alation.
- Strong experience in interviewing and group facilitation.
- Good experience in Requirements Analysis and Solution Architecture Design, Data modelling, ETL, data integration and data migration design
- Well versed with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and similar project delivery methodologies.
- Nice to have: Data governance certification
