2. Sales and Relationship Building: Medical representatives aim to achieve sales targets by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with healthcare professionals. They identify potential customers, arrange appointments, and conduct sales visits to promote products and secure sales orders.

3. Product Knowledge: Medical representatives must have in-depth knowledge about their company's products, including their composition, mechanism of action, indications, contraindications, and side effects. They should be able to effectively communicate this information to healthcare professionals.

4. Market Research: Medical representatives gather market intelligence by monitoring competitor products, market trends, and customer feedback. This information helps in developing effective sales strategies and identifying opportunities for growth.

5. Territory Management: Medical representatives are typically assigned specific territories or regions. They are responsible for managing their territory effectively, including planning and prioritizing visits, tracking sales performance, and reporting on activities.
