Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported the health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades. It runs comprehensive day care centres on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculum. In Mumbai, it serves over 3500 children through approximately 25 centres every year.
Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person for the position of Health Officer who will be responsible for the successful planning and implementation of its programme activities. The Health and Nutrition Officer will be responsible for the following:
- **JOB DESCRIPTION**
1.To establish and supervise activities within the framework of the nutritional & health programme.
2.To promote and supervise activities related to health care practices & coordinate our support with that provided by local health posts and Government Hospitals.
3.To be responsible for all health activities and health awareness sessions in the field.
4.To assess and monitor needs, gaps and resources in our programme by undertaking regular visits to all the MMC centres for effective implementation of the health & nutrition programme.
5.To undertake regular and detailed reviews of progress in implementation against plans and generate reports for internal use and for funders.
**Qualification: -**
- Master in Public Health or Medical social work
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood health programme management.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS word.
The Mumbai Mobile Creches’ administrative office is in South Mumbai. Working hours are 10a.m. - 6 p.m. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month is a holiday.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
