**Job Summary**:
The Hospital Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression of the hospital by providing excellent customer service, managing patient inquiries, and performing various administrative duties. The receptionist helps in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the front desk while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient and Visitor Interaction**:

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Verify patient information and assist with the completion of necessary forms.
- Provide clear and accurate information about hospital services, directions, and procedures.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:

- Schedule patient appointments and follow up as necessary.
- Confirm appointments and notify patients of any changes or cancellations.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth scheduling and minimize wait times.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Maintain and update patient records in the hospital’s database.
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and faxing.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- **Patient Registration**:

- Assist patients with the check-in process and gather required information for registration.
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
- Handle payments or co-pays as needed.
- **Communication and Coordination**:

- Communicate with medical and administrative staff to relay important messages or requests.
- Ensure patients are informed of wait times and direct them to appropriate areas within the hospital.
- Manage the flow of visitors and ensure they follow hospital policies and procedures.
- **Emergency Situations**:

- Remain calm and professional in case of emergencies, assisting in directing patients or visitors to the appropriate areas or personnel.
- Notify appropriate staff or emergency services when required.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in medical office administration is a plus).
- Prior experience as a receptionist, especially in a healthcare setting, is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, hospital management software).
- Friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in reception.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position, including weekend or evening shifts depending on hospital hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Occasional light physical tasks, such as filing or stocking office supplies.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
