**Mechanical Fitter - Cashew Processing Plant**

**Location**:
**SUN THERMO PROCESS, THIRUVANAMALI**

**Department**:
Maintenance / Engineering

**Reporting To**:
Maintenance Supervisor / Factory Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Installation & Setup**
- Install, align, and assemble machines such as boilers, steam cookers, shelling machines, dryers, peeling units, grading and sorting machines.
- Fit mechanical parts, couplings, bearings, pulleys, chains, and conveyor systems.

2. **Maintenance**
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Lubricate moving parts and ensure all machines operate smoothly.
- Replace or repair worn-out components like belts, gears, shafts, etc.

3. **Troubleshooting**
- Identify faults or breakdowns in machines and perform timely repairs.
- Reduce downtime through quick mechanical interventions.

4. **Safety & Compliance**
- Follow all safety standards during fitting and repair work.
- Ensure machines are properly guarded and safe to operate.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

5. **Machine Alignment & Adjustment**
- Align pulleys, belts, gears, and moving parts for optimal performance.
- Calibrate machines like shelling and peeling equipment as per processing needs.

6. **Coordination & Reporting**
- Work in coordination with electricians, operators, and supervisors.
- Maintain daily maintenance records and report unusual issues.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- ITI / Diploma in Fitting / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in food processing or mechanical fitting, preferably in a cashew or agro-processing unit.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use tools like spanners, wrenches, grinders, welding tools, etc.
- Basic knowledge of steam lines, air compressor systems, and gear mechanisms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

**Work Schedule**:
Full-time - Rotational Shifts / Day Shift (as per factory requirement)

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per hour
