Making Duty Roaster for all the Staffs in the department.
- Check the general cleanliness of the changing room, post-op room, hand wash area, nurse’s station, CSSD area and both OT.
- Check for any surgery booking and inform the respective anesthetist, pediatrician and surgeon.
- Document intra-op details
- intake, output if any, and if any medicines given.
- Check for the availability of instruments needed for surgery.
- Co-ordinate with technicians in autoclaving instruments and linen and document it.
- Check the carbolisation of the OT done by the technician or not.
- Check the stock availability daily and before leaving the unit.
- Supervising in Biopsy sample sending and documenting in the chart.
- Supervising in Monthly swab taking, sending and collecting report (inform nursing superintendent).
- Daily and Monthly reporting to nursing superintendent.
- Report any untoward incident to higher official.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Report technical advisor for any repair of equipment’s.
- SOP & Policy implementation.
- Reporting any untoward incident immediately to the higher official.
- Evaluates the nursing care delivery system utilizing a variety of techniques.
- Consultation with patients and health care providers.
- Efficient use of resources.
- Supervising of the entire department and the Staffs.
- Perceived satisfaction of patients/families.
- Enforces regulatory standards in areas of supervision and implements in-service programs to support and comply with these standards. Prepares and justifies annual operating and capital budgets based on projected unit needs and departmental policies and goals.
- Maintains personnel and other direct expenses within unit budgetary expectations.
- Monitors monthly management reports and analyses trends and takes action appropriately.
- Participates on various committees established by the management plan
