Position Summary:
Key duties & responsibilities:

- Creating enterprise workflows and interface solutions which starts with obsessing about the ‘Why’ and backing it up with a solid understanding of user needs and behavior. So do expect a lot of good quality discussions and we want someone who is able to walk up to a whiteboard (or online board) and sketch out ideas and solutions.
- These ideas and solutions would need to be built into robust user flows that would take care of every conceivable use case and condition.
- Flows are nothing if they are not translated into screens that are consistent, intuitive but at the same time factor in delight.
- Finally working with the Product and Engineering teams to bring the designs into reality is a crucial part of the designer’s journey.
- Be hands-on at every stage of the design process—from discovery through detailed design, execution, and iteration—creating user flows, wireframes, pixel-perfect designs, and prototypes along the way to bring ideas to life.
- Contribute to R1 design standards by identifying and driving new UI components and design patterns
- Attention to detail and follow through in producing multiple iterations of your work to reach the best solution
- Actively contribute to meeting discussions, articulating compelling viewpoints, and fostering a collaborative environment that values diverse input
- Display a growth mindset characterized by curiosity and a willingness to boldly question the established norms.

Must have skills:

- An obsession to create intuitive and beautiful products and experiences that simply work. We will require a portfolio showcasing UX and design skills through case studies demonstrating user-centred and innovative design solutions with measurable outcomes for users and the business.
- An expert at your craft. Which means you know the difference between user flows, task flows & IA diagrams.
- A collaborative team player who can work well with Product, Engineering, Business and CX teams to ensure that everyone is aligned with the design vision.
- Ability to clearly and confidently present design concepts and solutions to a variety of audiences and accept and interpret constructive feedback.
- Highly skilled with type, hierarchy, colour, composition, contrast, and other design fundamentals.
- Passion for design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, and a willingness to learn and share new ideas with the team.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.

Good to have skills:

- Relevant degree in the field of Design or HCI.
- Experience in healthcare or insurance enterprise product design.
- Ability to plan, moderate, and complete a variety of goal-oriented workshops across collaborators, leading to exciting new ideas, new-found consensus, and critical alignment.
- Experience designing responsive web platforms, as well as within large-scale digital ecosystems.
