Typesetting & Layout Designing** - Designing book layouts, templates, and page compositions using Adobe InDesign. - Ensuring the layout adheres to publishing standards and specifications. - Text formatting, style sheet creation, and consistent font usage across publications. - Placing and formatting text, images, tables, and captions accurately. **2. Pre-Press Preparation & Quality Checks** - Preparing print-ready PDF files following publishing guidelines. - Ensuring documents are in the correct resolution, color mode (CMYK for print, RGB for web), and size. - Conducting pre-flight checks to verify missing fonts, images, and other errors. - Managing pagination, margin alignment, and bleed settings for print production. **3. Adherence to Publishing Standards** - Following publisher guidelines (Inhouse stylesheet/book-specific formats). - Converting manuscripts into final layouts while maintaining the author’s content integrity. - Ensuring proper use of typographic elements like screenshots, headings, subheadings, bullets, and numbering. **4. File Management & Version Control** - Systematic organizing and archiving of project files. - Maintaining backups and version control for every project. - Exporting files in different formats (PDF, IDML, etc.) as required. - Maintaining accurate naming conventions for project files and folders. **5. Image & Graphics Integration** - Placing and resizing images, charts, and diagrams within the layout. - Ensuring high-resolution image placement with proper linking. - Collaborating with illustrators and graphic designers for image corrections and enhancements. **6.
