**Job Overview**

Qualcomm's in-house Game Studio is seeking a skilled 3D Generalist Artist with Unreal Engine and/or Unity experience to help create cutting edge game art assets that include environments, props, vehicles, characters, UI, blueprints and prefabs for mobile games and graphics demos. This position works directly with our development team. Must have a solid understanding of materials, LODs, draw calls, occlusion, and optimization techniques. Animation authoring knowledge is good to

**Minimum Qualifications**
- 7+ years’ experience modeling/texturing environments, props, or characters in Maya, 3DS Max, or Blender on a shipped, mobile, VR, PC, or console game.
- Solid understanding of sculpting and 3D modeling techniques for photo realistic meshes & materials.
- Strong grasp of lighting for games, both static & dynamic real-time.
- Experience creating 3D models for games: props, vehicles, foliage, and using Substance & Photoshop to create PBR textures.
- Ability to create art content that is performant for runtime and appropriate for modern game hardware, mobile or VR.
- Strong UE4 or Unity experience with ability to debug and optimize: occlusion, draw calls, LODs & materials.
- Work independently while collaborating with multiple disciplines.
- Self-motivated and able to estimate task length and deliver polished assets on time.
- Demo material link is required & should include sample level, character, vehicle or prop models with material & texture examples with shot breakdown when appropriate.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Demonstratable experience within Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Professional experience of Maya and/or 3DS Max and setting up basic rigs for skeletal meshes.
- Experience with blueprints, animation sequences, motion trees &/or Prefab scripting.
- Prior VR/AR asset creation experience.
- Experience working with outsourcing teams.
- Shipped AAA console, mobile, or VR game experience.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design Graphics, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of experience with relevant gaming art software (e.g., Zbrush, Maya, Blender) or related work experience.

OR
Associate's degree in Fine Arts, Design Graphics, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of experience with relevant gaming art software (e.g., Zbrush, Maya, Blender) or related work experience.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of experience with relevant gaming art software (e.g., Zbrush, Maya, Blender) or related work experience.

**Education Requirements**

Preferred: A BFA or BA degree in art, design graphics, or have received equivalent on-the-job experience
