We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Intern to join our team in the retail industry. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, accounting, and business analysis, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and professional growth in a dynamic retail environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Analysis**: Assist in conducting financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support decision-making and strategic planning processes.
- **Budgeting and Planning**: Support the budgeting and planning process by gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing budget reports, and assisting in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist in preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Support the accounts payable and receivable process by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the management of vendor relationships and payments.
- **Financial Modeling**: Assist in developing financial models and scenarios to evaluate business performance, analyze investment opportunities, and assess the impact of strategic initiatives on financial outcomes.
- **Audit Support**: Assist in preparing documentation and supporting schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
- **Ad Hoc Projects**: Support the finance team on ad hoc projects and initiatives, including process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and special analyses as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a degree program or recent graduate with a focus on finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and analyses.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, preferred but not required.
