**Project** Description**: A large Australian financial institution has engaged us to provide resources for their Financial Crime Data and Intelligence Platforms. We are seeking a motivated Senior Data Modeling Engineer to join the Financial Crime Data and Intelligence Platforms team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working in a cross-functional team, and collaborating with other engineering teams across the enterprise, you'll have the opportunity to work at scale in a motivated and passionate team. The Financial Crime Domain will give you the chance to work on solution to problems that will benefit our customers, our community, and globally. "Stop the money, stop the crime" You'll be joining a team working in a technically challenging space, you'll need to feel comfortable exploring unfamiliar concepts. You will be working closely with onshore DXC Luxoft and bank employees. **Responsibilities**: - Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data architects, and developers, to gather requirements and understand the organization's data needs. - Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models using Erwin based on business requirements and industry best practices. - Ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of data models by conducting thorough testing and validation. - Optimize and fine-tune data models to enhance data retrieval and processing efficiency. - Collaborate with database administrators to ensure the proper implementation and maintenance of data models across the organization's data infrastructure. - Conduct data modeling reviews and participate in data governance activities to ensure data quality and consistency. - Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data modeling techniques, tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes. **Skills**: Must have - 4+ years experience in a similar role - Proven experience as a Data Modeler, Data Architect, or a related role. - Strong proficiency in Erwin Data Modeler tool for creating logical and physical data models. - Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling. - Experience in translating business requirements into effective data models. - Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization techniques. - Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
