Job Title: PGT Fashion Designing Teacher

Location: Akshara Vidyaashram CBSE School, Cuddalore, Tamilnadu

**Job Type**: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:

- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in fashion design theory, practical techniques, and current industry trends.
- Teach students the essentials of fashion illustration, pattern making, fabric technology, garment construction, fashion merchandising, and fashion history.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.

Creative & Practical Projects:

- Guide students in practical design projects, helping them translate their ideas into finished garments and fashion collections.
- Oversee students’ participation in fashion shows, exhibitions, and other relevant events.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity while maintaining industry standards in design and craftsmanship.

Mentorship & Support:

- Provide one-on-one mentorship to students, nurturing their individual design interests and career aspirations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident in sharing ideas and exploring new techniques.
- Offer career guidance in fashion and related fields, including higher education and industry opportunities.

Skill Development:

- Organize and conduct workshops, masterclasses, and extracurricular activities to further enhance students’ skills and broaden their knowledge of the fashion industry.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in fashion, design tools, and technology, integrating them into the curriculum as appropriate.

Administrative Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the school administration to improve curriculum design and student learning experiences.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Postgraduate degree in Fashion Designing, Fashion Technology, or a related field. (B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech in Fashion Designing)
- Experience: Freshers or Proven experience as a Fashion Designing teacher or professional experience in the fashion industry will be helpful.

**Skills**:

- Strong command of fashion design principles and techniques.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to pursue their passions.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and industry standards.
- Ability to mentor students and provide career guidance.
