As a Food and Beverage (F&B) Associate with the General Services Administration (GSA), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of F&B services within our facilities. Your primary responsibilities will encompass various aspects of food and beverage management, including customer service, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service Excellence**: Provide exceptional service to all patrons by greeting them warmly, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring their overall satisfaction with their dining experience.
- **Food Preparation and Presentation**: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages according to established recipes and standards. This includes ensuring proper portion control, food safety, and quality assurance.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels. Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving of goods as needed.
- **Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS) Operations**: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely and in compliance with organizational policies.
- **Cleanliness and Sanitation**: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all F&B areas, including dining areas, kitchens, and storage areas. Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to uphold food safety regulations.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other F&B team members, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service delivery.
- **Compliance and Safety**: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including those set forth by local health departments and GSA policies. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to management.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality management or culinary arts preferred.
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a similar F&B setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
