Character Artist

As a Character Artist at MindYourLogic, you will play a pivotal role in the creation of compelling characters for our games/animations. You will work closely with our art and design teams to produce characters that captivate audiences and enhance the overall experience. Your creativity and artistic skills will be essential in shaping the visual identity of our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Character Design**: Conceptualize and design characters that align with the artistic direction of the project. Create original and visually appealing character concepts that convey personality and emotion.

**Rigging and Animation Support**: Collaborate with animators and rigging artists to ensure characters are ready for animation. Provide support for character rigging and deformation.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with the art and design teams to ensure that characters fit seamlessly into the game/film/animation world. Be open to feedback and iterate on designs as needed.

**Quality Control**: Maintain high-quality standards for character assets, ensuring they meet performance and technical requirements.

**Research and Development**: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools. Contribute to the development of best practices and workflows within the character art pipeline.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Character Artist in the gaming, film, or animation industry.
- Strong understanding of character design, anatomy, and proportions.
- Excellent texturing and shading skills, with an eye for detail.
- Experience with character rigging and animation principles is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your character design and modeling skills.
- Passion for storytelling and a commitment to creating memorable characters.
