Drilling and Marking Operator

Study of the work order received on the day.
- Segregation and listing of the work order in terms of orders that will be fabricated in manual
- Planning the sequence of fabrication in consultation with preprocess head
- Planning for the required manpower for executing the days plan
- Checking the availability of the required tools and machines
- Receiving the glasses from the grinding station
- Physical inspection of the glasses for visual defects and cleaning
- Marking of the glasses as per the drawing given.
- Doing the drilling operation and countersunk if required
- Doing the notching and cutting operation
- Putting the stickers, as per work order specification
- Placing of glass requirement if any.
- Stacking of the glass in properly on the trolley and tying with the rope
- Conducting the daily departmental meet, briefing the team about the days plan
- Checking of the production list via work order
- Keeping the track of the sales orders which is being part processed
- Checking the pending sales order file for any date failures and if any then the
- corrective action planning
- Updating the pending order file on daily basis
- Maintaining the processing history of each work order
- Monitoring and recording various performance figures such as departmental rejections and reworks, machine efficiency monthly production
- Maintaining and listing the consumables required in the department like logos
- Maintaining and listing the essential machine spares required in the department.
- Following the preventive maintenance schedule as laid down by the maintenance department
- Strictly following the SOP
