**Job Title: Production Operator - Gas Nitriding Furnace**

**Location**: SIPCOT Pillaipakkam Industrial Park
**Reports To**: Director

**Job Summary**:
The Production Operator for the Gas Nitriding Furnace is responsible for operating and monitoring the nitriding furnace, ensuring that all processes are conducted in compliance with CQI-09 standards. The operator will oversee SCADA-controlled systems, maintain motorized flow meters, ensure proper gas flow, and execute production tasks based on predefined recipes and specifications for nitriding.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operation and Monitoring**:

- Operate the gas nitriding furnace and ensure proper function of all systems, including SCADA controls and motorized flow meters.
- Monitor gas flow levels and maintain them within set parameters, ensuring compliance with process recipes.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment as needed to meet production requirements.
- **Production Process**:

- Adhere strictly to the predefined nitriding process recipes for various production jobs.
- Ensure consistent quality output in line with the production plan.
- Follow detailed process instructions and complete production tasks within defined time frames.
- Perform regular checks on the furnace, gas flow, and other critical equipment during production cycles.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Comply with CQI-09 standards and internal quality guidelines during the nitriding process.
- Identify, document, and report any deviations from the specified process or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product quality and resolve any issues related to the production process.
- **Safety and Maintenance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE while operating the furnace and handling materials.
- Regularly inspect and maintain the furnace and related equipment to avoid downtime or malfunction.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment issues to the Production Manager immediately.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate production logs, including gas flow rates, temperatures, cycle times, and any deviations.
- Submit daily and shift-wise production reports to supervisors.
- Assist in data entry and analysis for improving production efficiency and quality.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in furnace operation or related field is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating gas nitriding furnaces or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and heat treatment operations.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Knowledge of CQI-09 standards and best practices in the nitriding process.
- Ability to monitor and control gas flow systems and temperature settings with precision.
- Competency in reading and interpreting production recipes and process documentation.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials.
- Comfortable working in a high-temperature environment.
- **Other Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as necessary.
