SQL Database Administrator

The SQL Database Administrator will maintain our on-premimises & cloud data infrastructure which includes MS SQL Server (IAAS & PAAS), Azure SQL DB, Azure DWH. The incumbant will also get a chance to work as DB developer as and when required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install and configure new Microsoft SQL Server instances & service packs and updates (must-have).
- Transactional
- replication setup & support (must-have).
- Experienced in Database Performance, Maintenance; to perform the following:

- Database management including backups, recovery and maintenance
- Database management for export, import and mass data loads
- DB Troubleshooting, performance and tuning
- Responsible for access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management
- Responsible for T-SQL query tuning.
- Responsible for database migrations and server upgrades.
- Responsible for ETL of large data into SQL Server.
- Manage DR planning in collaboration with IT manager and System Engineer.
- T-SQL Programming Perform additional tasks as assigned
- Experienced in Database Design and Development to perform the following:

- Various objects development such as Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers for business logic implementation.
- SQL procedures development, compilation and debugging

**Qualification/Skills**:

- BE/B.Tech/MCA
- Experience in Logical and Physical Database modelling
- 8+ years working as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA).
- 5+ years working w/ large databases (1 TB+)
- 2+ years w/ Development and integration of SQL database.
- Good to have:

- Azure infrastructure management skills
- DB Devops
- Knowledge of No-SQL DBs (e.g.Cosmos), Redis.
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development & deployment experience.
