CNC Setter/programmer

**Job Summary**: _A CNC Machine Setter at Perfect Gears (Chennai) Pvt.Ltd Manufacturing Company is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of computer numerical control (CNC) machines used in the production of gears. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and precise manufacturing of gears while adhering to safety and quality standards._

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Machine Setup**:Prepare and set up CNC machines for gear manufacturing processes, including loading raw materials and tooling.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machine settings and specifications.

**Machine Operation**:Operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations, such as cutting, milling, grinding, and drilling, to produce gears according to specifications.
Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently.

**Quality Control**:Perform regular quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure gears meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality, including tool changes and machine offsets.

**Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and address machine malfunctions or issues promptly to minimize downtime.

**Safety and Compliance**:Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe working environment.
Comply with company and industry regulations, standards, and quality control guidelines.

**Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and production data.
Complete production and quality reports as required by the company.

**Continuous Improvement**:Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
Suggest and implement improvements to machining processes and procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter in gear manufacturing or a similar field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, tooling, and programming.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Precision and attention to detail in quality control processes.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine programming.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.61 per month
