**Job Title : Student Counsellor**

**Area: Student Affairs**

**Location : Kothrud, Pune**

**Reporting to : Dean, Students Affairs**

**2. Job Purpose**
- The Student counsellor will provide one-on-one counselling sessions for all students in need at the University for emotional, behavioral and educational disturbances.
- The Student counsellor will keep a detailed confidential account of patient mental health history in the form of case files and progress reports for all sessions conducted for all the students & implement individualized treatment programs.

**3. Key Accountability**

**Strategic**
- Organizing long-term counselling plans that involves multiple visits.
- Establish a process to book, schedule and communicate regarding sessions to be conducted for the students at the University.
- Crisis management for students on campus and prepare to provide comprehensive support

**Operational**
- To conduct psychological assessment for the students at the University.
- Empower student clients to address their issues, take control of them and make positive changes to their behaviour and monitor and evaluate the outcome of treatments.
- Assisting students in choosing courses, explore career paths, planning their academic path and addressing academic concerns.
- To counsel and conduct sessions for behavioural and emotional problems raised by the faculty members.
- To communicate technical or clinically sensitive information clearly, both orally and in writing, to clients, their families and to the reporting authorities.
- To conduct group therapeutic interventions whenever required.

- Identify and calculate expenses required for workshops and trainings.

**Collaborations**
- To organize regular workshops and training programs for the university on various topics on mental well being.
- Offer guidance on personal growth, self-esteem, relationships and decision making.
- To maintain contact with professionals working in the field and refer clients for advanced help, if required.

**Academic**
- To train and engage students from the university in counselling, assessing and reporting cases.
