Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist

2) To undertake the standardised speech therapy assessments and analyse the results and identify the child’s clinical needs.

3) To work with the child, their parents/carers and others involved in the child’s care to priorities treatment and care aims for the child, including those with complex difficulties and/or terminal illness.

4) To use clinical reasoning skills to monitor and evaluate speech therapy intervention in order to measure progress, ensure effectiveness of intervention and to adapt the treatment approach and method of delivery accordingly.

5) To plan and implement individual or group interventions using treatment approaches and techniques appropriate to the child and family. This will require the post holder to have a working knowledge of the treatment approaches being used.

6) To ensure that treatment approach promotes and maximise the child’s or young person’s independence in feeding, communication and access to the community.

7) To be able to analyse the needs of the child or young person, the home or school environment and the carers to assess for and recommend minor and major adaptation for environmental modification.

8) To provide written treatment programme or intervention plan and incorporate speech therapy aims into the child’s school / nursery timetable.

9) To provide clinical cover of urgent cases for other therapists who are on leave or vacancies in

other service settings.

10) To attend multi-disciplinary team meetings in order to contribute up-to-date information on the child’s speech therapy needs.

**Salary**: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
