**POSITION: Consultant Pathologist**

**REPORTS TO: CEO**

**CO-ORDINATES / DUTIES HANDOVER**:All DIC’s

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**
- Verify and ensure the workflow to provide optimum efficiency of testing and turnaround time of results
- Verification of quality control, validation (new lot of reagents), and other quality activities to verify performance of test
- Verify records of test results and archives of data
- Ensures IPC procedure are followed in work environment
- Verify and evaluate the proficiency testing (PT/ILQC/EQA) and approve the records
- Verifies the department standard operating procedures for clinical assays. Document knowledge by reviewing and signing SOPs annually
- Providing advisory service on tests whenever needed to patients/customers/Consultants.
- Participate in MRM and internal audits of the laboratory. Providing inputs to management for continual improvement
- Follow laboratory policies and procedures such as attendance and time reporting policies
- Verifies and follow up of mail communication of abnormal results and documentation to Public health departments or other regulatory bodies
- Ensure the technicians to follow proper BMW management as per protocol
- Edit results when needed if retesting is carried out
- Serves as technical resource by participating in staff training; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations for continual development
- Evaluate employees for their competency
- Provide guidance and expertise in verification and implantation of new test/kits/instrument
- By testing the virulence and strength of specific microbes, they aim to identify new methods to diagnose and treat infections.
- Planning and organizing resources and activities.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Keeping up with new research and attending national and international conferences and other events.
- Liaising with colleagues from non-scientific departments.
- Providing information and advice to colleagues and external bodies.
- Providing information and advice to medical staff.
- Taking preventive measures to avoid the spread of infections with in laboratory
- Take part in all quality improvement activities of the lab
- Reviewing all panic values
- Interpretation and authorization of reports in Hematology and Clinical Pathology.
- Assist in recruiting Consultants for approved hires, in conjunction with the CEO and HRM of the division

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
