**Job Title**: Head of Department - Speech-Language Pathology

**Experience**: 5 to 6 years

**Qualification**: M.Sc in Speech-Language Pathology

**Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership and Administration**:

- Provide strategic leadership to the Speech-Language Pathology department at Newro Neuro-Rehabilitation Center.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of speech and language therapy services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate speech and language therapy into comprehensive patient care.
- **Program Development**:

- Work on the continuous development and enhancement of Speech and Language Therapy programs.
- Introduce evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to improve therapy outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- **Clinical Oversight**:

- Provide clinical supervision to Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Monitor the quality of assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Review and analyze patient outcomes to enhance the overall quality of services.
- **Faculty Management**:

- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology staff.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- **Community Engagement**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the center at conferences, workshops, and other events.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance the center's reputation and visibility.
- **Educational Initiatives**:

- Work on educational programs for the community to raise awareness about communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with educational institutions for student internships and research opportunities.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards in speech and language therapy.
- Participate in accreditation processes and regulatory compliance reviews.
- **Clinical Research**:

- Encourage and support research initiatives within the department.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Neuro-Rehabilitation, Speech and Language Therapy, and related fields.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in English and Kannada.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Clinical expertise in improving the quality of life for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Knowledge and experience in Neuro-Rehabilitation, Speech and Language Therapy.
- Ability to implement and oversee specialized interventions for conditions such as Aphasia, Dysarthria, Apraxia, Voice Problems, Neurogenic Stuttering, and Naming Difficulties.
- Familiarity with Alternate Augmentative Communication (AAC) methods.

As the Head of the Department in Speech-Language Pathology at Newro Neuro-Rehabilitation Center, your role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and specialized speech and language therapy services to individuals with various communication challenges.
