Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Press Releases**: Write and distribute press releases, statements, and other communications to announce news, events, and policy positions.
- **Crisis Management**: Develop strategies to manage and mitigate negative publicity or public relations crises, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- **Content Creation**: Create compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters, to engage constituents and supporters.
- **Event Management**: Assist in planning and executing public events, press conferences, and town halls, ensuring positive media coverage and public engagement.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote initiatives and build relationships with community leaders and organizations.
- **Monitoring and Analysis**: Track media coverage and public sentiment, analyzing trends to inform strategic communication decisions.
- **Advisory Role**: Provide counsel to political leaders and staff on communication strategies and public engagement practices.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or other degree with relevant skill.
- **Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in public relations, communications, or political campaigning is highly desirable.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with political processes, current events, and media landscape.
