**General Roles of an EVS Teacher**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**:

- Teach topics related to the environment, nature, human body, resources, family, community, transport, etc., as per the prescribed syllabus.
- Integrate **science, social science, and environmental awareness** through interdisciplinary teaching.
- **Lesson Planning**:

- Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Use storytelling, visuals, real-life examples, and hands-on activities to make learning interesting.
- **Activity-Based Learning**:

- Conduct experiments, nature walks, field trips, and observation activities.
- Use models, charts, maps, and role-plays to enhance understanding.
- **Assessment & Evaluation**:

- Evaluate students through projects, quizzes, oral and written assessments.
- Maintain records of students’ academic performance and participation in activities.
- **Environmental Awareness**:

- Instill awareness about environmental issues like pollution, conservation, water saving, energy use, etc.
- Encourage eco-friendly practices like waste segregation, planting trees, and recycling.
- **Classroom Engagement**:

- Motivate students to observe, ask questions, and explore their surroundings.
- Foster curiosity and critical thinking about nature and social systems.
- **Project Work & Exhibitions**:

- Guide students in preparing models, charts, posters, and presentations on EVS topics.
- Organize exhibitions or displays during science or environment weeks.
- **Skill Development**:

- Promote observational skills, analytical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- **Community Connection**:

- Help students relate what they learn in class to their home, neighborhood, and local community.
- **Continuous Learning**:

- Keep updated with environmental news, teaching resources, and latest practices.
- Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching strategies.
