Mathematics Teacher

_We are looking for a passionate and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to join our team. Especially for someone with a strong background in mathematics education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to provide an experiential journey to discover the world of mathematics and building reasoning, critical thinking and creative problem solving capacities. _

**Curriculum & Methodology**
- Creating a healthy environment where students feel comfortable, safe and important.
- Establishing good behavioral expectations to promote healthy classroom and school culture.
- Enabling experiential mathematical learning through making connections to real life context and experiences.
- Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.
- Adapting teaching approach and materials according to the pupils’ abilities, giving them the opportunity to question and investigate.
- Communicating effectively with the pupils so they are clear about the objectives of each lesson and project.
- Develop Interdisciplinary understanding between mathematics and other curricular areas.
- Making students aware of the relationship between Mathematics, technology and society.
- Strengthen pupils’ mathematical thinking, problem solving, logical reasoning and mathematical intuition capacities.
- Assessments should be encouraging genuine understanding of core mathematical capacities, competencies, and creativity rather than mechanical procedures and rote learning.
- Designing Mathematics Events calendar for an annual year with implementation strategies.

**Assessment & Feedback**
- Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling academically.
- Drawing up helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers for improving the pupils’ learning abilities and skill development

**Staff and Parents’ involvement**
- Meeting with other teaching staff to discuss students’ progress or any concerns in academics and behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about students' progress, projects, and classroom activities.

**BEHAVIORAL MANAGEMENT**
- Fair knowledge on children socio-emotional theories and age-related behavioral aspects and challenges.
- Ability to address children disruptive behaviors and challenging situations.
- Ability to counsel children through socio-emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Ability to guide parents/care givers with appropriate resources and strategies to attend the children needs.
- To enable children to understand self and develop a healthy self-image.
- To enable children to make healthy relationships at school and build respect, integrity and care for each other.
- Ability to handle pupils’ medical needs and health conditions and maintain proper communication channel with school management and parents..
- Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

**SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION**
- Maintenance of student academic records, and handling related administrative tasks.
- Assisting with the admission test papers preparation & evaluation, recruitment and training of all new teachers and providing support to school management.
- Meeting with staff, parents, or external bodies to discuss pupils’ progress or any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current on best practices in social studies education.
- Adhering to school leave and punctuality policy and school cultural norms to create a healthy learning and teaching space.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay current on research and best practices in education, and contribute to the school community.
- Organize extracurricular activities, be part of committees, and events for the student and school development.

**Qualification and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience teaching mathematics at the high school level preferred
