Junior Safety Officer

**EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IS A MUST**

Key Responsibilities
- **Safety Inspections and Audits**:

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of safety inspection reports and documentation.
- **Safety Training and Education**:

- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs and toolbox talks for site workers.
- Ensure all personnel are aware of safety procedures and policies.
- **Accident and Incident Reporting**:

- Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of accidents and safety violations.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure the site complies with all relevant laws and guidelines.
- Help prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
- **Safety Equipment and PPE**:

- Ensure that all workers have access to and are using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor the condition of safety equipment and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure all personnel are familiar with emergency procedures.
- **Health and Safety Programs**:

- Support the implementation of health and safety programs, including risk assessments and safety plans.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety practices on site.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain and update safety records, including training logs, incident reports, and inspection records.
- Assist in the preparation of safety reports for management review.

Qualifications and Skills
- **Education**:

- A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, NEBOSH Certificate, or equivalent are preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience OF 3-5 YEARS in a safety role within the construction industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential safety hazards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using safety software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- **Personal Attributes**:

- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.

Working Conditions
- Primarily based on construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- May involve standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and other physical activities related to construction site inspections.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
