Function: Quality - JD - Application Engineer

To understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals.
Provide customer support by responding to requests for quotations with detailed analysis of product costing, schedule of creation, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements, when applicable, to meet all customer product needs.
Work with engineering, sales, and production staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers to formulate quotations for the sales staff and our customers.

Role Accountabilities
NPD
- Product Specification Definition - technical specification, features and cost targets
- Spec-Sign off with Engineering team
- Part of cross Functional Team - for benchmarking/ product definition
- Pilot production to mass production transition
- Test equipment planning/ test plans setup for product acceptance
Conduct validation and testing for all products as per Customer specification
Sales
Respond to customer RFP/ RFQ
Technical Sign-off with customer engineering team
Relationship building and escalation management at customer end
Making CVP and technical inputs for sales, marketing teams
System integration and acceptance sign off with customer
Benchmarking
Competitive benchmarking - technical and commercial
Product differentiation - key pointers and features articulation
Customer Service
Monitor customer/ field failures - RCA and counter measure implementation in process/ design/ operations
Monitor Failure rate - product improvement
People Development
Work on team development - improving next level team by exposing to regular training/ soft skills enhancement.
